Prime Horse Walk Easy

Prime Horse Walk Easy Treatment and Maintain are designed to assist in the treatment and management of overeating, founder and laminitis in pleasure horses and ponies.

Both our Walk Easy products incorporate the feeding guidelines published by the Laminitis Trust, a registered charity in the UK dedicated to supporting research into laminitis in horses.  We use ingredients selected to be low in starch and sugars.  No whole cereal grains have been included in these products.  

Can be fed to mature ponies and horses

Walk Easy (Treatment and Maintain) are formulated to meet or exceed the nutrient requirements of mature horses and ponies as specified by the National Research Council (1989) and can be fed as a complete feed or used to compliment your own feeding program.  They contain high quality proteins and oils and ingredients naturally high in the mineral components of Glucose Tolerance Factor.   

Can be fed as a single daily feed

Walk Easy (Treatment and Maintain) are designed to closely match the quantity of feed that a mature horse can comfortably consume to meet its requirements for maintenance.  They will satisfy your horse’s need for bulk and slow release energy through natural healthy fermentation in the hindgut.  For this reason an entire days ration can be offered as a single daily feed.

Walk Easy should not be fed as a complete feed to breeding mares, growing horses or horses in heavy work.  We recommend Prime Horse Pony and Mare Mix for breeding mares, growing horses or pleasure horses in light to moderate work.  Prime Horse Grain Mix is recommended for horses in heavy work or training.
